I met Nadine last year at Chantelle and Brandon’s wedding. When she contacted me about her wedding this year, I couldn’t wait to be part of her big day! (I also got to meet Chantelle and Brandon’s little one who is SUPER cute.)
Beyond their lovely vintage shabby chic decor from A1 Party Rentals, Confetti Party Rentals, Fort Langley Vintage Rentals, and Chaberton Winery, and the bridesmaids stunning long navy blue bridesmaid dresses from Nordstrom and Lulus, the most beautiful part of the day for me was the story of their little family. Their daughter, Leah, eagerly helped me with arranging the details and fluffing Nadine’s dress in the morning. In her vows, Nadine made promises to Leah, saying that while she may not have given her the gift of life, her life is a gift (and then everybody cried). My second shooter, Tanja, and I spent much of the day following their little boy, Malcolm, around. Nadine and Anthony finished their portraits with a tribute to their little one on the way, and finished their formal dances with a dance dedicated to their children. Watching Anthony dance with Leah may have been my favourite father daughter dance yet!
Huge thanks to my lovely second photographer, Tanja, for shooting with me!
