Brett and Alvaro contacted me about their Teahouse in Stanley Park wedding a few months ago. A photographer friend sent them my way and we quickly jumped on a phone call to discuss their wedding plans. I immediately connected with their energy over the phone and couldn’t wait to be part of their special day.
Brett and Alvaro were married at Ferguson Point in Stanley Park surrounded by their closest family and friends. I LOVED how they decided to enter the ceremony with their parents at the same time. The importance of family was highlighted throughout their ceremony and their parents participated in a ring warming ceremony to send them warm wishes for their marriage.
After their ceremony and family formals, we did some quick couples portraits around the Teahouse at Lovers Walk and down at the beach. When we were taking portraits at the beach, a group of guys on electric scooters stopped and asked if they would take a shot with them as part of a bachelor party scavenger hunt. Nothing says congratulations quite like doing Tequila shots with strangers, right?!
I joined Brett and Alvaro briefly at their reception at the Teahouse to capture their entrance and a few candids before leaving them to celebrate with their guests. It was such a joy to share this day with them!
