When Scott and Joe asked me to photograph their Magic Charm yacht wedding, I was excited to shoot something different. On Saturday afternoon, I met with Joe and his unofficial best lady, Carie-Ann, in the West End while my second shooter, Michele, was off in New Westminster with Scott and Nicole. Their wedding planner extraordinaire, Eunice Wong, came knocking with a letter for Joe from Scott and that was only the beginning of the tears for the day.
After their sweet first look on Davie Street, we all jumped in the limo for portraits at Second Beach and Prospect Point in Stanley Park. Once all their guests had boarded for the Magic Charm yacht wedding, the ceremony started and everybody cried. Scott and Joe ended their ceremony with a toast and lots of hugs for guests disembarking before the reception.
Their reception was full of toasts, clinking glasses, and dancing. So much dancing. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a dance floor as lively as Scott and Joe’s. (Which made it really difficult to only pick a few dancing photos for this blog post!) Their guests had such a great time that no one wanted to leave even once the boat had docked and the music stopped. It was QUITE an evening, and one I was so grateful to be part of.
Thank you to my second shooter, Michele, for helping me with this wedding!
