When Sharon and Jamie first contacted me about their in-home engagement session in Vancouver, they weren’t sure about a location for their shoot. At first they debated a shoot at Olympic Village, where they had their first home together and enjoyed ice cream at Earnest, coffee at JJ Bean, walking on the seawall, and riding Mobi bikes.
After some consideration, they decided they wanted their session in their home in Chinatown. They sent me a few photos and a video tour of their apartment ahead of time so I could anticipate how to best use the space and I was blown away. Not only is their apartment stunning, but they have a huge patio with an incredible view of downtown Vancouver. I was beyond excited for their session.
We had to reschedule once due to Vancouver weather, but got lucky with our second date. I met Sharon and Jamie and their adorable dog, Lucy, on a sunny Sunday afternoon. I documented them lounging on their patio, enjoying croissants from Matchstick Coffee, and snuggling in the kitchen. We had lots of laughs and talked about all the things and I felt so fortunate to have been inviting to document this season in their relationship.
