False Creek Yacht Club Wedding | Allison + Andrew
In October, Allison and Andrew were married at the False Creek Yacht Club in Vancouver. I had a blast with these two during their Gastown engagement session in July and looked forward to their wedding all season.
My second shooter, Paris, and I started the day with the girls at the Executive Hotel Vintage Park while Mink Makeup & Hair did their hair and make-up. I absolutely loved Allison’s bridesmaids’ grey dresses and yellow cardigans, as well as the repurposed book the ring bearer carried down the aisle. (Which was definitely more of a sprint down the aisle than a walk, haha!)
After the ceremony and family portraits, we all crammed into minivans for a couple of hours of wedding party portraits. I had so much fun running around Granville Island with these two and their friends – we even had time to stop for drinks at Dockside Seafood Restaurant!
Despite being vegetarians, Allison and Andrew had a burger bar as a tribute to their Alberta roots. (The photo of Allison and her veggie burger is easily one of my favourites from the day!) The highlight of the reception was a solo dance by their ring bearer to Aretha Frankin’s “I Will Survive!” I had a really hard time picking a single image from his performance for this blog post.
Huge thank you to my lovely second shooter, Paris for all her help!
