Bridges Restaurant Wedding | Vancouver Gay Wedding Photographer

I was pretty sold on Kyle and Gunter’s Bridges Restaurant wedding when Kyle responded to my first e-mail. I enjoy getting to know a couple’s story and will ask about how they met and what the proposal was like to get a sense of that. In all 8 years I have been shooting weddings, I don’t think I have ever received a response as thorough and detailed as Kyle’s. Their proposal story is super sweet and it made me feel really grateful that couples are willing to share such intimate stories from their lives with me.

Kyle and Gunter’s wedding was my last of 2019 and it was an incredible way to wrap up the season. I had never shot at Bridges before and was really thrilled with the giant windows and urban backdrop for the ceremony (and the city lights backdrop for the reception). Their wedding party was large and full of the loveliest humans which made running around Granville Island for portraits SO much fun. Finally, their reception was full of spontaneous dance numbers, runway walks, and lots of RuPaul.

Huge thanks to my second shooter, Jana, for helping me with this wedding!
