Piers and Sean planned their intimate Grouse Mountain wedding from their home in London. Wedding planning is a lot of work and I’m always amazed when my couples plan their weddings long distance. Piers and Sean were in Vancouver for Christmas and we were able to meet up for coffee to go over plans for their big day and get to know each other. They described what they wanted as being “keen on a less formal approach to photography” and I knew we were a good fit.
I loved how Piers and Sean did their wedding entirely their own way. They created customized LEGO figures of each of their guests as wedding favours (amazing, right?!), they had video game characters decorating their cake table, and their wedding party was an eclectic group of dear friends and family members without matching attire or florals. Their wedding day was truly about sharing the commitment they were making with their closest family and friends and it was a joy be there to document it.
Huge thanks to my second shooter, Kendra, for helping me with this wedding!
