Linnea and Heather were married at the Museum of Vancouver over the weekend. I made sure to get to the venue early as we had limited time for portraits between the ceremony and dinner and I wanted to scope out a few shaded spots nearby. Many of their friends and family had also come early to help with the arch for the ceremony and decorating for the reception. I’ve been noticing these community vibes throughout my weddings this season and it makes my heart so happy!
Heather and Linnea paid tribute to their mothers by involving them in their sand ceremony – it was something I had never seen before and it was lovely! At the reception, Linnea’s daughter was their MC, and they started things off with one of the sweetest speeches I have ever heard. Sugar Mountain Catering, my favourite catering company in the business, knocked dinner out of the park, and I wrapped up shooting after Linnea and Heather’s first dance. There’s not much better way to end the night than two hugs from a happy bride and her husbutch.
